The application areas of modern adsorbents are wide. Due to their high porosity they are discussed as potential mediums for gas storage.
Those materials are known to be very promising at the separation of molecules within mixtures. Since adsorbents are active catalysts and are
useable as substrates, they can also be used in the area of heterogeneous catalysis. In addition these systems are promising for applications
as biomedical medicine substrates and sensor materials.
